E36 Liquid Runway Deicer

E36 LIQUID RUNWAY DEICER – SAFE RUNWAYS AND A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

BENEFITS:

  • Safe for runways: meets FAA-approved specifications
  • Safe for the environment: non-persistent, biodegradable, low BOD
  • Fast: runways are available sooner
  • Staying Power: works longer, requiring fewer applications
  • Easy to apply: applied with existing equipment

PERFORMANCE:

  • Excellent anti-icing characteristics
  • Active at low temperatures (-25o F and below)
  • Less slippery than glycol-based products

APPLICATION:

  • Deicing – 1 gallon/1000 ft (50 g/m) near 32o F (0o C) on thin ice………3 gallons/1000 ft (150 g/m) below 10o F (-12o C) on 1 inch ice
  • Re-apply when new accumulation shows first tendency to bond
  • Plow often to reduce fluid dilution
  • Prewetting – apply at spreader outlet at a rate of 1.25 gallons per 100 lbs (130g/kg) of solid deicer

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Lower BOD
  • Biodegrades at low temperatures
  • Does not contain urea
  • Low toxicity to fish, mammals and vegetation

HANDLING:

  • Polyethylene containers are preferred, otherwise use carbon, low alloy or stainless steel containers
  • Containers must be clean and free of rust, surface deposits and residues
  • E36 should not be stored or plumbed through systems that use galvanized, zinc or brass components.
